Practice Makes Perfect
Homework this week is all about measures.
Year 3 have some word problems to solve and Year 4 have some converting of measures. The sheets are glued in your child’s book.
If your child comes across a problem, please encourage them to ask for some help during the school day.
Times tables
Please practise the 3x table. All of the class will be learning this table for the next few weeks. So, expect lots of 3x related activities to be coming home. We’ll start by simply filling in the sheet that is glued in your child’s book.

We’re a new class together and we’re learning all about each other. I thought it would be a good idea for the children to start the topic creatively and show something interesting or special about themselves.
Here are some ideas that we came up with as a class when we talked about the homework:

- Draw a picture
- A list of family members/toys
- A photograph
Remember, this is an important time to chat without any distractions: turn the television off, sit together and share ideas.
